Many users will pay attention to the temperature control accuracy when purchasing a vacuum oven, but it is easy to ignore the temperature uniformity. Temperature control accuracy usually refers to the temperature control capability near the control point, while temperature uniformity pays more attention to the temperature difference between different locations in the box. For material drying, electronic component dehumidification, powder handling and process validation, temperature uniformity directly affects result consistency. Therefore, to judge whether a vacuum oven is good or not, we should not only look at whether the temperature control meter displays accurately, but also whether the temperature field inside the oven is stable.

When university laboratories purchase vacuum ovens, the common demand is not just “buy a device that can vacuum and heat.” The School of Materials, Chemistry Laboratory, Electronics Laboratory, New Energy Research Group and Testing Platform all have different requirements for sample drying, powder dehumidification, material pretreatment, resin degassing and low-temperature vacuum drying. Therefore, the selection of vacuum ovens in university laboratories must take into account budget, parameters, frequency of use, after-sales maintenance and subsequent topic development, and cannot only be purchased at the lowest price.
